Yesterday our kids let us sleep in a bit which is rare. For the past year or so they have slept in until 7 and lately they have decided to get up at 6am, so when they let us sleep until 7:45 we were in heaven! We heard them get up at 6 and go straight downstairs. We heard them laughing and talking every now and then but otherwise we could just doze away. When we finally dragged ourselves out of bed we discovered that they had made their own breakfast of cottage cheese and crackers and built a huge fort. I will take a huge mess any day if I can start my morning with a bit of a sleep in and happy children!
