Brittania Mine Museum

We decided to drive up the coast to Squamish and on the way we stopped and walked through the Brittania Mine Museum. This mine was once the largest producing mine of copper.
We were able to take a short train ride into a section of the mine and get a tour around the working conditions that the men had to work in. We were also shown the improvements made in technology over the years.

On the train to go into the mine.
This picture shows the bottom three levels of the mill where the ore was produced. There were 5 more levels above this yet.
Mining for gold!
