Happy Birthday!

We celebrated Ava's birthday last weekend in polka dot style. I had a lot of fun planning this party and going crazy with my polka dot theme. We had a great evening of hanging out with friends and family, eating and opening gifts. It is hard to believe that our blue eyed blond is almost ONE! Ava has been a lot of fun lately. She is a feisty little girl and definitely lets us know if she is unhappy or frustrated, baby gates are her enemy! She is a crawling machine and loves playing on the stairs! Her and Noah do a lot of practicing going up and down. She has finally figured out how to turn around at the top and start going down on her own instead of crying out for help. She would walk around the house all day with us if we would allow it. I often stand her up by her walker but she just sits down and screams as she would rather hold unto my fingers. She loves to eat and wants something if she sees someone else eating. She has figured out how to hold the sippy cup on her own (took forever) and likes to drink from a regular cup and sometimes can do a straw. When you read her a book with animals and make the noises she tries to make the noises in her own way, it is too cute! She is also our cuddler. She often crawls over and lifts her arms to be picked up as she wants to snuggle in and bury her face in our neck. We love it!
